Change Management
As this North Sea field continued into a ‘mature’ (post plateau) phase of operation, the Operator identified the need to reduce annual Operating Expenditure by 30% however, significant risks were identified as issues to be mitigated in a managed change programme.
Nexus was engaged to devise a programme which would deliver the targeted savings whilst managing the risks inherent in such dramatic change.
A senior Nexus team was assigned full time and initiated a 2 year programme with a field wide risk assessment in the categories of Safety, Environmental, Production, Field Integrity and Industrial Relations.
A change programme was devised and implemented, introducing new practice to the Operator in the form of Campaign Maintenance and Multi-Skilling and implementing a revised onshore/offshore organisation model.
The targeted annual reduction was exceeded and has proven sustainable and none of the key identified risks (threats) to any aspect of operations manifest itself outside the ‘Low Impact’ category.
